These include low tech options to high tech options, state of the art techniques for decreasing the size of hemorrhoids.
Laser technique: – Laser operation for piles use laser light to send a beam of laser energy to burn away hemorrhoids with very little bleeding and discomfort.
Rubber band technique: – This technique is very common. This technique revolves around a rubber band which is being placed around the base of hemorrhoid. It cuts off the blood supply and eventually, the tissue dies and falls off. Patient experience minimum pain.
Sclerotherapy: – In this procedure a corrosive chemical solution is injected around hemorrhoid, cutting off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid. It helps in shrinking hemorrhoids or causes hemorrhoids to fall off. This procedure is not recommended as the chemical might irritate your skin too.
The minimally invasive procedures listed above are less painful than a hemorrhoidectomy but they do not have a long term benefit. Your hemorrhoids may reappear as these surgical treatments do not act on the root cause of the ailment.
